Experimental examinations at the internal combustion engine

  • Conventional engine test beds in different performance categories (400 kw, 140kw, 12 kw) for the function development and application of engine control systems.
  • Flow bench for technical measurement of the intake ducts, intake ports and exhaust passages of the cylinder head.
  • Test vehicle (Opel Ampera)
  • Fully functional application vehicle (VW Golf) for extensive testing of an in-house control system.

Process Simulation

  • Development of offline simulation tools (e.g. Matlab/Simulink©, GT-Suite© oder AVL Boost©) for the description of thermodynamic, mechanical or global processes in IC-engines of motor processes is therefore integral part of the chair activity.
